After a long night of flying we had a very slow first morning. Dad had to leave for his business trip in Wyoming and the rest of us had to find a hotel for the next week. The first plan of action was renting a car and driving up the coast to Fort Myers (where we used to live).
It was spring break so there weren't a lot of hotel options left so we ended up staying in 3 different hotels in different areas around Fort Myers. By now everyone had food poisoning from the dinner at the hotel in Peru so we all were feeling a bit under the weather. Luckily Sage didn't have it but she was still exhausted after the flights. Since it was spring break some of the other guests were partying around us a lot which made it tricky to sleep some nights.
When we started to feel better we decided to visit some of our friends while we had the chance. We didn't know when we would be back again so it was nice to see them. I spent the night with the Thorstads and got to go fishing and play baseball back at Rutenberg. The next day I had to go back to the hotel but we did get to have dinner with them once more before our flight back to Costa Rica.
It ended up to be a nice week to catch up with friends and by the time Dad returned our quarantine days were up so we drove back down to Miami and caught our flight into San Jose, Costa Rica.
